HEY...WHAT SMELLS LIKE UPDOG?

humpf... nothing really going on. Have basically wasted the past three days away. I start my nurse resident position on Friday...uh that's tomorrow. Not as excited as I was last week. Kinda dreading it actually. I'm supposed to be getting a postcard in the mail from NCLEX telling me when I can arrange to take my board's exam. Dreading that too, since I haven't studied once since our review classes have ended. Plus I have the most retarded summer class that I was supposed to go to an hour ago. It lasts from 5pm to 8:50 pm. Pretty lame, huh? Well I decided that I couldn't bear sitting through it when I could be at home watching it over the internet. Well I can't really think of what has happened in the past week. maybe I'll post later tonight. blehhhhh.

I LOVE YOU LIKE A FAT KID LOVES CAKE

Well it's been 6 days since I have written last and I'm having trouble gathering the motivation to update. I can't even remember what happened yesterday, or even an hour ago.... oh wait... it's coming back to me...

Friday, I went to see the Matrix. And I wish I could tell you if I liked it or not, but I slept through it. I'm sure it was really good, and I'm not trying to imply that it was so boring that I couldn't stay awake, I was just really tired. Now I do remember Neo flying around like superman and I'm pretty sure that I have come to the conclusion that that was gay as hell.

Saturday, I went out with Keri, one of my nursey friends. We went to Fox and the Hound, where I saw the whole freaking graduating class of 99. One funny moment that sticks in my mind.... Keri's boyfriend graduated from Memorial in 98, so he likes to play the do you know so-n-so game... So Chris Crowley walks in and we have a little conversation about how he knows him blah blah blah. And then I proceed to tell him that in 5th grade I had the HUGEST crush on Chris and my best friend Heather Sanders, behind my back, gave him a rice crispee treat to go out with me. Just exchanging funny memories. Well Chris walks up and says Hi and then starts quietly talking to Nick (Keri's boyf). And later on I get filled in on the conversation...
Chris: Who is that girl sitting next to Keri? She's pretty hot.
Nick: uh Ashleigh. You know... from 5th grade? (snicker snicker)
Chris: Oh Shit... Hey Ashleigh What's up?

Pretty funny huh? So after that we went to Harpole's, which is such a blast on Saturdays. Half of it is booty dancing and the other half a live band, and then pool tables upstairs. I had so much fun. Watched Rob dance with a bunch of "fat chicks" on a dare. Sure wish Chris D was there! Remembered the next day that I danced to Mambo #5 with Keri and Nick (not on the dance floor) in front of a bunch of strangers, using such wonderful moves as the lawmower, the shopping cart, and the bus driver. Oh yeah and not to forget that one move where you grab your right ankle with your right hand and..well you get it i'm sure. So that was a pretty interesting night.

Sunday, I'm not sure what I did. Oh wait I watched the Hitler movie on CBS. The rest of it is on tonight after American Idol of course.

Yesterday I went to every freaking store in Evansville to find plain white flipflops. And ended up getting frustrated and buying $40 flipflops that I didn't really like. I wore them today to NCLEX review and hated life the entire day. So I took them back earlier and am thinking of ordering some off the internet. Oh this is random, but really funny. Yesterday during my NCLEX review lunch break, Keri and I went out to lunch, and while driving we are behind a yellow carpet cleaning van. On the back it reads (besides the carpet advertising crap) "REAL MEN LOVE JESUS." Which isn't that suprising, but then under that it says,"What if Jesus was aborted." What are you serious?!?!?!?!?!??! Then it says "Thank GOD He wasn't!" Where do these people come from. I don't think Mary had the means to have an abortion. I mean coat hangers weren't invented yet, and I'm sure Medicaid won't cover it. This was painted on the van and on the back window was a Harley Davidson sticker. People are so fucked up.

Well I guess that's it for now.
I'm out like a fat kid in dodge ball.

what up what up

I'm back from a long trip to "suck ass land" and "no time for anything world." This is seriously the first time in two weeks that I have a sat down at my computer. My inbox was blowin up. Hmmm let's see.... A lot has happened, but I'm not really sure where to start or if I even remember. I didn't even know today was Wednesday.

Well I graduated. thank god. I didn't actually go through my graduation, but I went to my pinning ceremony. Did'nt find a way to justify buying another cap and gown. Got my expensive nursing pin, that I convinced my dad into buying while he was drunk. Got a lot of extremely needed money. But now its almost gone. Thought it would be a good idea to open up an Old Navy account and buy shirts that I already have 12 of in different colors. I need to get credit somewhere right? And plus they took 20% of my purchase. Then I bought new scrubs for work. Since I'm a nurse, I have to wear navy blue. Oh I also bought an awesome pen light! Plus I had to send $250 to the Indiana State Board of Nursing so I could take my board's exam. So I now have enough to pay my bills and get a couple packs of cigarettes.

Oh shit... I got a new stereo for my car. Dad and I went to Circuit City and picked it out together. It's so bad ass! It has these neat little graphic picture things on the screen and you can pick which one you want and it has a detachable face and it bumps really loud when I play Salt and Pepa. You'll love it Stace.

Hmmm..what else... I'm doing my NCLEX review for the next two weeks. USI hires people to come in and teach us stuff from the past four years in a week to get us ready for NCLEX. It's from 8-4:30 everyday. ugghh. The past two days were awesome. The lady that taught was ricockulously smart and explained things in the most bad ass way. I seriously had light bulbs exploding in my head. I understood so many things so much better. But then this stupid mono-tone lady came in today and I couldn't bear the thought of sitting there another minute, much less 7 more hours...so I walked out after maybe 50 minutes. The second week of NCLEX review will be better, I hope. It isn't through USI and I payed $300 for it, so it better be good.

I think that might be it. I really can't think of anything exctitng. I am taking a summer class though, Financial Management in Healthcare. Does that sound like a party or what? Plus I'm going back to school full time in the fall to get my other degrees. So it's not over, it's just begun. Oh yeah I made a big decision pertaining to my career. you know how I accepted that job at St. Mary's on the floor that I have worked on for 3 years. Well last week I basically told them to shove it. I transferred to another unit and I have already been approved. Sweet huh? It's the same pay, but a different type a unit. It's renal failure, dialysis, and diabetes. I will really miss my other patients, but I just really can't stand the people I worked with. The new unit is the one I did my practicum on and I really loved it. The nurses are so nice and helpful.

Oh I went with Corinne shopping last night. She needed to get a dress to wear to Beau and Lauren's wedding this weekend. Yeah I know it's fucked up. So she pulls up to my house to pick me up. She is driving a 2003 Celica. A graduation present. nice huh? Anyway I am about to fall asleep.

Keep it out yer butt!
